ShowDowns! Is very proud to present Peak Paradise - a new piece of physical theatre, devised by the ShowDowns! players, in collaboration with our special guest, Robin Mason, Cellist extraordinaire.
The piece is set in the back court of a block of flats within a bustling city. The inhabitants are joyless and unpleasant to one-and-other.
One day a mysterious stranger, clad in green from head-to-foot, brings a beautiful garden to the inhabitants’ bleak and dreary neighbourhood. Things begin to change for the better.
But alas, due to mankind’s inability to resist interfering with the wondrous gift that is nature (signified by a single butterfly) the joy of the inhabitants is to be short lived...
World Down’s Syndrome Congress 2018
Documentary Maker, Helena Ohman of Rare Bird Videos, is shining a light on our ShowDowns! Players and their performance. The resultant video shall be made available to ShowDowns! Participants in April with the intention of a public showing at the World Down’s Syndrome Congress 2018.
